It’s not just regional Law Firms in the United States that are combining operations. Recent major tie-ups beyond U.S. borders include last year’s union between British firms Clyde & Co and Barlow Lyde & Gilbert — the largest firm merger ever in the U.K. Several mid-tier British firms announced merger plans of their own last week, while firms in Australia, Italy and South Africa are also inking tie-ups.
